STM Locoblade first run .. losing fuel
Got my first run in my recently purchased 2001 Stuart Taylor Locoblade last Sunday.
A track day in Mondello (I'm in Ireland) and it was a lot of fun !! engine never missed a beat
The fuel pump failed on Saturday and luckily I got a replacement on time.
It had Toyo Proxes T1S .. I say had because they are in bits now after Sunday .. not a very good track day tyre it seems !
The only issue I had was I was losing fuel under braking through the tank overflow/breather ? pipe even when only carrying a quarter tank.
Any suggesions as to how to solve that problem ?
Can anyone recommned a good all round track tyre ? (Thats all the car will be used for)
Also think the Fireblade engine could do with a few more horses !!
Thanks.

Hi, Firstly, i would look at the Fuel Breather. I got some Nylon type piping and coiled about 5 foot of it. Then cable tied it to the framework of the
chassis. Works fine, and passed SVA test with the same.
Tyres.... Depends what size your rims are. I was on 15", but use them for road use. I use 13" for Trackdays with slicks on, and Boy what
a difference!!! The 15" tyres are yokohama Paradas which are a good all rounder. I have used these on Trackdays as well as on the road. If you
go onto 13" rims you will find a lot more choice and also a vast price difference.
I hope this helps.
Regards Eric.

Would a baffled tank sort this out? I know it helps massively to stop the fuel swishing around.

Also think about a dynojet kit for the blade engine if it doesn't already have one.
