Is there anything better than a (2.30) am (mechanically un-sympathetic) fast drive???
As above!
It doesn't really matter what you're in either!!!

yes
Being woken up at 2.30 and asked if you want some sex by wife or girlfriend.
Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

i love going out for a blat in the middle of the night the only problem is that you have to watch out for the coppers that have nothing better to do
at that time of day... and as we all well know that pair of headlights behind in the distance is indistinguishable in the dark.

That would be good but I recon the best feeling is heading south out of Dundee across the Tay bridge
after a sh^%#¥ call out.... It's made sweeter by having a mate a few miles ahead of you looking out for Smokie bears...
Not that you find many as staffing levels in the countryside are very low at most times.
We used to have smiley faced transits with no tracker or governor and it was pedal to the metal all the way...
Those were the days

Takes me back to the mid '70s. I collected my new purchase, 4.2 drophead E type from the previous owner in Whitstable Kent.
After all the formalities I didn't leave until 3am.... A cold dark April night. Roof down, collar up ... Rod Stewart on the 8 track! ...
Blatting thro' the Dartford Tunnel.
One of the best drives of my life.

Because it's Steve!
The Stelvio last week at 7pm, hanging the back out on every hair-pin and only coming across 1 other car (an E-type) apart from us (3xR1 Furys, 1x
R1Pheonix, 1x Duratec Fury and a Z3m) all the way to the top was pretty good as was 2 R1 Furys full tilt up the Col du Turini... ...but I
guess we can't do that any day.
edit for spelling...

No, it's the one from the MonteCarlo Rally. There might be some video from our run soon.
