Rebuild Phase One Complete!
I know its not a locost but...
this site is so great I just wanted to share!
So I thought you would like to see my SS now phase one is complete and she just needs a tune for the MOT.
How good does it make you feel when you drive round the block for the first time
She is booked for a day on the rolling road this Thursday for a "run in tune" so I'll let you know that stats.

Thats better than when it was new. We have seen one lying in a guys house near glasgow when we delivered a very large fish tank.
Good work

That car is as clean as a whistle
Very well done indeed Sir
P.S. You don't need a Locost to be welcome in here.

Took her up a private road today for some petrol.
Even the staff at the BP Station came out to have look
The Speedo is not calibrated BUT even untuned this thing flys!
Stopped at the lights and accidently put it in reverse the Merc behind me was not impressed and followed me home! Lucky he was a mate and wanted to
look at the car and ask me to slow down so he could catch up!
I never even passed 3000 revs!

Impressive,
Looking at your under bonnet pictures, do you have any protection on the inlet air horns?
I had what looked like a similar setup on a motorbike I used to race that managed to swallow a nut through the centre carb.
It didn't help the power output much
Cheers,
Colin

That'll make a difference to all of the chavmobiles crusin' down Broadway or congregating at Boongate McDonalds
All you need now is the Cosworth YB lump under the bonnet
P.S. any chance of cadgin' a spin in it when it's all finished 'n legal like

I forgot how much attention my SS attracts
Just got back from Specialist Auto Services, Peterborough 01733 349329
Who have spent all day sorting out my Carbs and Tappets.
