REASONABLE Trackday Midlands???
Right, simple as the title. I need to find a reasonably priced trackday near me (buckinghamshire) Willing to travel to a limit, but not to the bargain
trackday capital of the world, the north.
Getting fed-up looking at figures from £110-£150. Which is just silly for a bit of fun.
If anyone can help me you guys can.
Regards,
Mark

Mark, you'd be lucky to get anywhere for much less than £110. Disused airfields are usually around the £100 mark but they do take their toll on
your tyres.
You might get a few decent trackdays at Donington and the like for about £90 - £100 but be prepared to do them in the winter.
Best bet would be to take a mate and share the cost between you.

I will be going with my brother in a fast cheap car he owns (would'nt dare say what it was on this forum or i may be banished!)
You normally add at least £40 per extra driver too.
We can afford it, but its still a fair wedge of money.
Can anyone reccommend a track/airfield at the lower end of that price scale?
Cheers,
Mark

As was said earlier, £100 is the lower end of the price scale. Normally they're around £150-£170, and iIrc Brands Hatch GP is £220! Try
Motor-sport events. I've used them a few times and they're excellent. They let you do a half day for £60. On an open pit lane event that
can be a lot of driving.
Basically this is a very expensive hobby. But worth every penny. Have fun!

hmm £100 is a good price , have you thought of cadwell ?
sometimes , you can pay the night before if theyre not full up for quite cheap .
btw , i spent £90 on a hillclimb at loton park , and got about 5 mins of track time ie 4 runs .
£150 isnt unreasonable for a whole afternoon of thrashing about .

£70s a blinder!
My fave so far is rockingham, but that totalled about £200 with fuel etc. Elvington was fun but rockingham was just a different level. I dont expect
i'll bother with old airfields anymore.
