Finally!
Finally managed to get out in the Indy this evening, so it's officially the first time I've driven it in the dry (on dry roads).
WHAT FUN! Little twisty roads are wonderful things  Need to look at getting the bonnet catches a little tighter though, one had come undone when I
got home!
Oh, and if anyone sees a woolly Quicksilver hat on the A61 Leeds-Harrogate road it's mine - it flew off when I was doing *ahem 60* passing a
line of cars!

It's good down there but too busy traffic wise. Came back via the Beckwithshaw/Leathley road (nice, quiet and twisty) and back up Pool bank and
past the airport (that tunnel's a must-pass on every run - the noise )

Gingerprince, i noticed at silverstone that you have the same bonnet catches as me, GMTBH was telling me that people using these catches have lost
their bonnets as the rubber stretches, if you find a way of tightening them can you let us know as i dont really want to change the catches as they
will prob need new holes drilling leaving the old ones exposed.
But if i would rather a couple of holes on show than a bonnet in my face!
Just for everyone else, the catches im talking about are the rubber SVA friendly CBS ones.
Glad you got it out in the dry! Had a great drive back from oxford in the tin top tonight, nice empty roads, had a little play with a Cupra R round
some roundabouts but he backed off!

Definately need to do something with the catches. Ended up gaffering them at Silverstone to make sure the catch didn't come undone.
There's certainly not enough tension in mine they take hardly any pressure to "lock". I don't know whether that's how
they were originally mounted or whether they've stretched since. Will probably have to re-drill them and live with a couple of holes.
Are there alternative catches available, for example all metal instead of rubber so they can't stretch?

CBS sell metal ones that can be adjusted - don't look so pretty, and def. wouldn't pass SVA (not that it's a problem here).
They're what I'm considering - I have the rubber catches - they stay shut OK, but the bonnet lifts a tiny bit at speed, which is
unnerving.

Givemethebighammer has metal catches, which is what started the conversation in the first place. Not sure where he got his.

The rubber catches seem to work fine, We've had them on ours since day one and they haven't come loose yet.
Oh, and I've learned to take off my hat at approx. 60 mph, less as it get close to cutting it again
