Javelin trackdays at Elvington
I'm wanting to book my first "proper" airfield day in the MK, and am planning on booking Elvington through Javelin on the 15th
July.
I went to watch a Bookatrack day there a few weeks ago and they had 1 big track that used a bit of the pan and a bit of the runway.
The Javelin website says they run 2 tracks. I'm guessing this is one on the pan and one on the runway. How do they split these, is it based on
what skill level you put down when you register, or do they let you do both throughout the day? If not how do they compare?
Cheers, Sy

The split is a novice track and experienced track. i think they do not have any overtaking on the novice track
I'm booked in for the 15th see you there.

I keep threatening to do a trackday and I hear elvington is a good place with plenty of run off areas. Do you usually take out insurance for the day,
just in case, or not. If so, where's the best place to buy trackday insurance.

Sy,
The last couple of track days at Elvington Javelin have moved to one large track. The main reason is to cut down on noise.
The layout is very good, you'll enjoy it.

Cool, cheers all. I've booked myself down as an intermediate, just in case they do run a novice "no overtaking" track!
See you then

maybe they count the skidpan as a seperate track? Elvington is a good course for runoffs, the surface isnt ideal but overall worth visiting. No
particularily sharp corners except coned chicanes etc. Not bad. Id love to go...
whats your excuse darren?!

Where do i start!!!! Nothing as drastic as your excuse Joel but we are selling house and new one needs some quick work. We are renting ours off new
owner for 2 months while we do the work so serious funds shortage and short timesacle to get new one ready to move into (thats the problem you have
when kids come along - not ideal moving into a house that needs to be gutted). Im also trying to convince her that it is a good idea to get my car
painted so something has to give to aid the negotiations.
Im finally losing my huge garage for a new single! Not all bad as new house venture is to make money and ive done a deal on a Snap-on roll cab for my
tools as compensation. To cap it all im away with work a lot over next 3 months inc a trip to China.
