Private roads in Essex?

I need to do some shakedown tests to calibrate the speedo, check out the brakes and generally make sure nothing is going to drop off before my SVA.
Are there any places in Essex I can trailer the car to and play for a couple of hours?

Cheers,
Raz

Could try North Weald airfield? carlimits.com use it daily for driver training, so between you, them and the airfield you may be able to work something out?

Try Gosfield airfield (near Braintree) about 1mile fairly smooth old runway with turning at each end. You need to phone and let them know you are going in advance, I dont have the no. to hand but do have it on file, can get it this eve if you cant find it.

Sounds ideal and not very far from me either. If you have the number I would appreciate it.

Telephon number is 01787 473348, the guy's name is Clive Blackwell, don't ask for him by name as he will tell you Clive died a couple of years ago, he seams convinced the VAT man is looking for him.:-) You will need to wear a crash helmet and seatbelt.
