my first track day was today.......

and lasted 7 whole laps! for some reason i have fuel pouring in to 1 and 2 so i was down to 2 pistons so had little option but to call it a day.

was the most fun 7 laps of my life though! even running on 2 i was still keeping up with some tart in a BMW 630 who apparently couldn't go around corners!

suprise of the day was that they didn't black flag me for my exhaust and thats with it sounding louder than ever due to the missfire!

spent the rest of the day out with my uncle in his escort cosworth so not a total loss.

roll on next year for some more trackdays!

oh and i'd never driven the MK in the wet before today so that just added to the fun

lol. nice idea but i've got no time to sort my fueling issues out anytime soon so i think it's just going to be tucked away for a little while now.

can't believe how dirty the track was, poor car!

well after resigning myself to the fact the car was shafted for the day i parked it in pit garage 10, popped the steering wheel off took the keys out and took up roll of passenger.

most worrying statement of the day was in the driver briefing..."this is one of the most slipery tracks in the world at the best of times, if it rains, give up hope"!
really inspired confidence did that!

ahhhh!

I was there too, if you saw a yellow radical with "geosynthetics" graphics all over it nipping round!!

we were racing over the weekend, Sunday was proper wet, first corner was zero visibility!!!

Radical in the dry is pretty damn quick through craners and the old hairpin is pretty "interesting"..........i.e. flat and you can't physically keep your head upright.....I need bigger neck muscles!!!

the only thing yellow i recall seeing yesterday was that 996 turbo which looked rather smart.

didn't really see a lot of the cars in the other groups as they were sending them out as we were pulling in!
