PNC any coppers on here

With this issue of do i need a mot before or after 3 years problem has anyone done a pnc check ?

how easy is it for the local plod to do this ?

i'm just interested as my tax disk renewal has come through as its been a year since my Q plate pastd SVA

Dead easy for a copper to do it. Just ask on the radio, but they won't do it on your behest. That could cost their job.

It's very easy to do and with the advent of ANPR ( number plate readers) all cars that are out of tax/mot/insurance are flagged on the database and will "ping" any police with the equipment. Alternatively if you get pulled then the date of registration is on the PNC along with markers telling them if anything is out of date/needs checking.

A few of us Magistrates' Court staff also have PNC access

Yes highly illegal to so a check for the wrong purpose. It will tell you now if an mot is held though, although all you need is your v5 to prove that it doesnt.
