Only reason I can think of for being in that area, is to go and see the rats on Puffin Island.
Is searching for obscure toll roads a hobby of yours?
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!

Its a private road down to the cove at the end - and is the best place i know of for fossils. Used to collect loads of prehistoric sea creature
fossils from there as a kid myself.

Its a beautiful place. The toll money goes toward the upkeep of the priory. The birdwatchings great (the rats were cleared off of Puffin Island years
ago),and last time I was there I watched harbour porpoises feeding close in to the shore, wonderful!

ah, ok, not so much of a toll as an admission charge, although I am admitting nothing.
It was not me, it was the other three.!!! It really was not me.

There is a kind of toll at Hamsterley forrest near where i live. Its possible to park close by and walk in but so much nicer near the visitors centre
etc. money goes towards upkeep. Its an excellent place for walking and mountain biking so well worth the spend. I guess that place is the same.
Now the M6 toll on the other hand - ive never had the urge to pay that. Id rather sit in traffic - i only travel that way on business anyway so why
rush.
