first proper drive yesterday

What a nice day yesterday

went out to get the eldest a car and decided to take the MK. we drove 30 miles down the A14 at my usual break neck speed the car was fun but hard going as i have no windscreen or deflector.

we bought A Golf PD 100 which is a reasonable car for a 19 year old and he was chuffed to bits

i asked the guy if there was a better route back and he told us a good route across country

cutting through the lanes at speed was such good fun, the sun was shining and the wind was warm.

we got stuck in a but of traffic but thats ok.

we did about 90 miles on that run, with out to many dramas

then i was asked to collect the youngest and guess what my fuel guage is inaccurate i ran out of petrol in the middle of the football traffic in colchester

two hours later i got home and the wife asked me why i took notice of the guage, bound to be inaccurate as i installed it

all the hard work and stress of building it is forgotten and i'm enjoying my driving again.

just wanted to share the experience
