done some noise testing local with my mate stood right on the pavement and got a spike of 100 static was about 102 this could be different on different meters though
should add that changing up at nine rather then ten should steer attention away from me

Iv'e been chucked out of Donny for noise, the noise police are very strict there.

A lot of drive by noise on becs is generated from the induction roar, i found taping up the bonnet scoop helped.

Another trick is to have the exhaust outlet pointing at the ground, and if possible under the car.

Have fun

Yes AFAIK its drive by only, some trackdays at Donny are 105db, it was a 98db one i got thrown off, for an alledged 109db, it worked out at something like £13.00 a lap
wouldn't mind but you can nearly touch the planes landing, fascist gits

i used to work at east midlands airport and must say that even when in the workshop at the opposite end to donnington park you could hear racing and trackdays more then aircraft landing not that i'm complaining used to enjoy the sound of whatever being thrashed round donnington and after talking to a copper who lived in diseworth and he said the same thing about noise

just thought i would post an update on yesterday. had a fantastic day no noise issues at all a day of two halves you might say heavy rain in the morning which been a newbie to donnington was a good way to learn the circuit without getting too giddy. then by lunch time it was dry and quite warm although i was still soaked, must get me some waterproof pants. really got in a good rythem (spell) mananged to get past a ferrari 430 round the bends, he had me on the straights. took great pleasure in telling him that his ceramic brakes cost more than my car anyway to sum up got in 480 track miles in the day only stopping for fuel no brak downs only had a nut on the exhaust bracket come off highly recommend donnington really good circuit enjoy hammerhead and dont worry about noise by the end of the day i was revving to 10500 past the tower and no problem
