Castle Combe video
Link
This was taken at Castle Combe last Friday. We arrived in the dry but then the rain started and only let up when we stopped for lunch and then started
again just as the track dried out. This was the first run of the day and the first run for the car in those conditions.
Once again the scrouteneers failed the car on noise with my new 7" can. 105db at 8700 rpm. I even showed them the e-mail from the circuit which
said that the car should be tested as a motorbike ie 105db at 3/4. They were quite insistant that the limit was 100 for car days regardless of engine
type, so the decibel/horsepower killer was slipped up the exhaust with the usual lack of power above 8000.
Still it was a great day despite the weather and the frequent red flags during the afternoon (one of the Porsche cup cars who had been on slick tyres
all day hit some oil left by one of the 928s going into quarry. Places are available for the track day in Sept so let me know if you are
interested.
