Photocard driving lisence - expiry date..?
Just had an email from a mate about photocard driving lisences expiring. I never realised they did, but looking at mine it runs out in 2010.
Apparently the first wave of photocard lisences are about to expire leaving many unwitting drivers with an invalid lisence.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I renewed mine in July as i have been driving for ten years.
Crap idea mind, as mine was running out in Mid August, i applied thinking new licence will run out Mid August 2018, but it now runs out Mid July.
Cost £17 plus £4 for new up to date picture.

I was lucky - I had a photo left over from renewing my passport a while ago. The renewal instructions said to send a photo no more than 1 month old
(or similar) but I looked at the photo and decided that I hadn't changed much...
...anyway, when the new licence arrived, the photo was in black-and-white! Apparently it's burnt into the card with a laser. So why did they
ask for a colour photo?

Yes exactly.
Mine actualy appears to have a flash mark when i had my picture done, that makes me look like i have a greay area of hair (I'm only 27!)
When it appeared on my licence it makes it look worse.
