drive this evening, car ran really well
Hi all
Went out for a quick blat this evening and the car went much better than before. Not done anything to it, but it really went well.
Could this be due to the fact the outside air was cooler? I just seemed much more responsive tonight.
Am I imagining it or is the cool evening air better and will it be noticeable?
On the live data air intake temp was about 20 degrees lower than when I drove it last week during a hot day.
Could this be in need of rad ducting?

I did see your last post but never got around to commenting.
yes it defiantly points to heat soak. If intake temps are high the ecu will peg it back to save the engine. Before ripping it out I would try moving
the maf and filter into cooler air.

I was thinking that Warren, air filter, intake pipe and maf are right in the flow of hot air from rad, might make up some ducting to separate the hot
air coming through the rad and stop it going through engine bay.
Still want a turbo.....!

It's the best thing about the weather cooling off, engines go better! Turbo cars love the cooler air, even my road car goes noticeably better in
the cooler air.
