A very nice man...
I spent a lot of yesterday evening on Beeley Moor waiting for a very nice man to recover me as the car decided to blow all its' water out in
Chatsworth and I refilled it out of the river to try to make it back home. I'd done about 3 of the 10 miles when it repeated the procedure .
It was bloody freezing up there so my wife came out in our van with a big coat for me while we waited for the recovery and we had a flask of tea and
watched it go dark. Thank you to Mount Pleasant recovery from Grindleford for a nice ride in their lovely warm lorry

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

My moneys on a failed thermostat as the cause of bother. Happend to me on a tractor once, there was hole in the bonnet above the filler cap so your
view is filled by a fountain coming out of the bonnet as the water erupts from the cooling system.

My thought exactly....
I've swapped it and put the new gasket in. It ticked over for 15 minutes without any trouble or boiling so I'll try it in a bit and see
what happens.

Weren't you telling me at Stoneleigh that your car was running hot and you had to fill up with water when you got there?
Cheers

Yes, that was after 80 miles and not checking it before I set out though . Not like the catastrophic failure after 12 miles that it did the other
day. It also made the journey back and all subsequent use, like Newark when it was really hot, without problems. It's done 10 miles without a
repeat so I'll keep my eye on it for a while.
