So, Who's been for a run in the sun today?

Been out for a blat in the amazingly excellent weather. Saw a "Seven style" car on Canvey Island, only caught a glimpse so not sure what it was - don't suppose it was anyone from here? Probably not because he had a suitably gobsmacked expression on his face looking at my car!

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

I'm sure hoping tomorrow is nice!!!!
Spent today swapping the lower swivel joints and doing the wiper motor installation....
Did some very nice welding on the wiper motor mounting bracket (and sprayed it satin black to match the powder coat) only to find I'd put it in the wrong place and it covered up my 12v accessory socket (fag lighter).... Doh!!! Luckily it's relatively easily to salvage it but still a bit peeving...
Oh well.... hopefully get the install finished TM so I can go for a blat!!!

Drove the car to work (nightshift).
Fubar a rear tyre.
I have an 8mm cut through the complete circumference of the tread
Something sharp must have got jammed under the cycle wings, because it is gone now!
I will be able to get home in the morning.
Looking for a goodyear eagle ventura 205/50/15 if you know where to get one cheap?

me me me

I went for a blat after my dad & i moved the seat from fitting it for the wife

loved it

met up and played with and evo 340, a couple of bikes and went down the stretch of road affectionately know in the area as the race track. Id been down it before I had the suspension looked at and only realised how much better handling it was after the setup work when i realised at the end of it that i'd actually done most of the run in 4th rather than 3rd that i thought i was doing it in.

What makes things even more is that i thought i was going quick in 3rd let alone 4th (kept the revs the same)

It was too good a chance to miss today. Hooked up with an extremely well sorted Leon Cupra who seemed to be out on a similar mission and we gave it beans around the lanes of Cheshire. Great fun

SWMBO and I have been out having a real blast. Went to Frinton, Clacton & Walton - its amazing how much attention the car is getting! We had a little play with a chavved up Nissan Sunny GTR - boy those things shift don't they! I was just overtaking him, hitting the rev limiter in fourth, and ran out of road so had to hit the brakes rather hard. Just calculated what the speed must have been ....

Needless to say we had a blast - coming back in the dark for the first time too and the lights work brilliantly

Cheers,
Raz

Saved my full tank of petrol for the East Anglian get-together tomorrow - it's a decent outing, so I'll need every litre!

Fingers crossed for good weather...

I was SORN at 9.00am but not at 9.30am. Couldn't resist it, Is it just me, or does anyone else think there cars gain 50bhp through the winter.
After driving a peugot diesel through the winter the tiger felt like a rocket, don't you just love these cars

I know what you mean - my car runs sooooo well when the air's cold. I know there's some scientific theory behind it, but the seat of my pants tells me that the car's going well!

Well to answer your question yesish
Left Here at 19.55 last night
Drove through the night to Havant (portsmouth)
Arrived 0640 and picked up the B.I.L. new hotrod from ludlow motorsport and had a cuppa and a natter
Left Havant at 0830 ish and set tom tom for "home"
Realized after 20 mins that "home"for some reason was set as London????????wtf
Reset for home and navigated the heathrow area and M25
Saw a multitude of fruity motors including 6 Ferraris and a silver gt 40 on a trailer heading south, a Noble and aston Martin heading North and Porsches heading everywhere also a green and yellow seven heading north on the m42 at around 15.20
Also at Stratford upon Avon services we saw about 12 to 15 fire engines and police escort with blue lights (think it may have been an excersise) (anyone)
Arrived home at 20.00 ish after travelling 1300ish miles in 24 hours with three drivers and 4 refuels/pee pee stops.
So yes we did have a drive in the sun today.

If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

Decided to take mine out, just to top up with fuel, drove ten miles to a filling station, , and then the bloody off side exhaust came loose, . Still fixed now ready for tuesday evening ay the John Barleycorn, (as long as it doesn't p**s down with rain). Ray

To make a car go faster, just add lightness. Colin Chapman - OR - fit a bigger engine. Chippy

My dad called me saturday as he needed something dropping off at Standsted and he needed to get down to Bournemouth. Was a good excuse to take the Indy out for its first long drive.

Some how on the way home I discovered I still had a good inch of pedal travel left! Wide open throttle makes a difference it seems!

Then went out yesterday to take Cloudy (building Warner R4 Middy) for a motivational blast! Getting used to the car so much more now and realised its so much easier driving it without the gloves I have.

Also put the new aeroscreen to good use, just wearing some shades.

Me & the Mrs went up to Barton Mills (nr Mildenhall) yesterday - 52 miles each way, along dry twisty Suffolk roads, in glorious sunshine - just can't beat it.

On the way back I had to stop and change out of my winter gloves into summer-weight ones, as my hands were too hot - not something I expected to happen in March!
