First Outing in Finished Car
from this
to this
in a year!
took the car to rockingham today. Still a bit of a shake down as i only finished putting it together at 9pm last night, but getting there. Spent the
morning tweaking what i could. Still need stiffer anti roll bar(s) but that will come.
The car performed really well everywhere else. Water temps never more than 86 degrees and oil temps never more than 95 which is great for a rotary on
track. Brakes work a treat and the front tyres have sooo much grip!
really happy with the way car is performing now i have some traction. The car has come out looking how i wanted also, white is the new black!
492 bhp per ton and 508 ftlbs per ton at 6psi boost. Still in the early stages with the power so that will increase.
a few pics from the day
My cousin Dave driving, many thanks to him and all the other that have helped with the car

The engine is a 13b turbo from an rx7, the headlights the car is supposed to have are early beetle/camper/porsche lights, i removed the gubbins and
cut up some aftermarket angel eyes headlights for an rx7 that i had in the shed, fitted them in the holes and the put the beetle lenses back in
front.
Avatar is a bit smaller now

thanks guys, there is already some mesh over the lower mouth which proteccts the radiator, the top vent goes to the intercooler which i havent
decided what i am going to do yet but they are less vulnerablee than a Rad.

I havent done many circuits to compare them but i enjoyed rockingham. I did the international circuit which doesnt include the big oval, Its
challenging with quite a bit of run off in places and not a lot in others. there is only one slow part and thats the hair pin. The rest keeps you
moving at a fair pace
the noise limit for the day i did with Lotus on Track was 105 so quite generous. The facilities are very good there also.

thanks for the info. Noise is something i worry about with my car.
Rockingham is a great venue, i was treated to VIP at the BTCC there last season, would pay to go there any day & taking my car there would be good
on the "infield" section i would have thought.
thanks,
MArk
