The Mcc Smart that I had in 2001 was the car that made me happiest. For a couple of months I actually looked forward to going to work, just so I
could drive it. It REALLY made me look forward to going home from work too!

Mark 2 Golf Gti 16V. Lots of fun and quick. Unfortunately the piston seals were going and I couldn't afford to get this fixed. Lovely car!

VW Corrado in the lovely blue/purple with some bloody wide wheels and rather low and full s/s exhaust and then 2 people drove into it while it was
parked up, i even watched the second person hit it bout 2 mins after i had finished taking down the first guys details
No passengers in the back and speed bumps were rather fun even getting down the drive was an intresting one

1985 Escort XR3i in silver and primer.
Bought from the scrappy, stolen recovered with no interior and wheels, damaged wing and front panel.
Put some RS Turbo suspension and brakes on, added the obligatory Alpine and away to go.

'Best' is the same as 'worst'? The reason the Montego wasn't my worst car (previuos thread) was because it was the
'best' production car I've had....
I say that because it was a 2.0L Turbo, was bullet (150mph) fast and a real handful to drive on boost. The best car I've ever owned only because
of the HUGE turbo on it and the mad accceleration/torque steer.

By far the most fun car I've ever owned was my Falcon. Unbelievably practical everyday (good heater, good hood, sooo comfy on long journeys),
handled like a dream as it could be pushed right past its grip limit and drift effortlessly round corners full throttle. I was in tears when it was
smashed up tbh totally loved that little thing.
will be on the road again this summer
Here’s my sister having a shot at one of the many shows we took it to, oh pleasant times
Lost a third of my hearing in my right ear from that exhaust too oops
Note too the roadrunner cartoon at the bottom corner of the windscreen, later I added Tigger on the top of the radiator cap to pi$$ of Jag owners
& off course Herbies 53 race number, superb

Best, favourite, most missed and most fun car was my first 205 GTI. Not a 1.9 and all the better for it IMHO. Spent god knows how much replacing
pretty much every steering and suspension component (with standard OEM parts, not MAX Power type aftermarket bits). Spent ages cleaning and replacing
the engine breathing system and a lot of the (French) wiring.
Boy I had some fun in that little car - so much so that I have often considered getting rid of the Indy to fund another 205.

I with Donny on this one with the Mark 2 Golf Gti 16V. My wife had it originally as a company car and I bought it for not much money when they
replaced it. Had 120K on it with full service history and I drove it for a further 80K with no more than servicing, tyres and rear box. Great fun to
drive with good performance and handling.

RE: Tyres, you might want to try Bridgestone Potenzas as per OEM fitment on Leon's.
My company Cupra TDI came fitted with which were very confident in all but the extreme wet. They don't last long, 9k miles on the front, but
were very good. Unfortunately the lease co. insisted on replacing with Dunlop Sport 9000 which were fine in the dry, but less confident in the wet.

For me it was a 1993 Porsche 968 Club Sport. Wish I had never sold it. Not very practical but a great handling car that taught me loads about how a
rear wheel drive car should be balanced. Still miss it, bucket seats and all.

Vauxhall Astra 1.8 (8v) GTE (1985). Engine and gearbox good for 130K, Shame about the body work!!
Happy days in that car.
Hopefully the Worx MAC 1 (ZX10R) will soon take the place of 'best ever car'

Best car was a 1984 MK1 XR2 in silver.
It wasn't as fast as the 1.6 205gti I swapped it for, neither was it as light or well equipped, but it handled like a go kart and you could
throw it around like you stole it - the 205 terrified me when it went light at the back on unfamiliar roads and it wasn't fast enough in a
straight line to keep up with a friends Charade GTti which was mad as a hatter!

For me it has to be my old Clio V6 Mk1.
This car had sooo muh road precence it was silly. I had 3 way KW Variant Coilovers fitted, A stainless exhaust I designed, One off drilled 18 OZ
Ultraleggra Wheels on T1-R's, Pipercross Evo induction kit and a few other bits and pieces. Everyone use to love it, wether it be the plate, the
looks or the sound.

I've had a few good cars over the years which include-
Audi A3 S-Line DSG (current car)
Subaru Impreza Turbo
Renault 19 16v
Renault 5 GTX (1.7)
But the best (read - most fun) was a Nissan 200SX (S13).
Any car that tries to kill you everytime you drive it proves very entertaining

For me it's the same as cooser.
Best because it was the fastest car i ever owned (or am likely to). 345 BHP @ the wheels, 1/4 mile in 12.04 seconds and a top speed of 163mph
Worst because something would break every 5 minutes so it spent more time in the garage than it did on the road....
