leg room
my mk indy blade is fitted with grp seats and the drivers one is on a sliding rail, i think. i cant get it to move but as it will only be me driving,
is it worth removing the rail and just putting the seat where i want it straight into the car, as i could do with a tiny bit more leg room

I think most people have them fixed for themselves.

yeah, it depends on the rails though - mine isn't captive in the rail, and I need to slide the seat forward to get at the back ones.
My mrs doesn't want to drive it, so I might take my rail off over winter.

I would say do what you want. Thats why you have a kit car right? so that it is the way that you want it!

Is there a gap between the seat back and the panel behind the seats?
If so then whatever is holding it vcan be removed and it re-fitted wherever you want it
