Bedford 31st October anyone else going

1st trackday of the year after all the problems I've had, anyone else on here going ? If so what with?
It's my first time at bedford and I'm on the Gt circuit which would not of been a first choice but £95 for a whole day of open pit lane I couldn't resist!
Any tips or pointers for a more successful days driving?

I worked at Bedford as an Instructor for four years so I am very familiar with the various circuits and the facilities. As a corporate entertainment and trackday venue there can be few to better it. However, as you indicate, the GT circuit is not the best for Seven type cars but you do have the opportunity to max them down the very long straight.

Advice; Start by driving slow laps working on braking points and lines and if there are Instructors available, use them. They know the circuit very well and will coach you to get the best out of you and your car.

The great thing about Bedford is that it is a very safe venue with acres of run-off so that if you do go off, all you hurt is your pride, not your pride and joy.

I hope you have a really good day.

John

Great stuff thanks John. I think I'll search out an instructor for a few laps.

I booked the day via easytrack.com, it's on their website for £95. I searched using trackdaylist.com but oddly it was £129 on there!

We went a couple of months ago, had a great day enjoy.

If you have a BEC then watch the noise, although relatively loud you cannot exceed or will be asked to leave.

I live less than a mile away so keep thinking I might gave a day there but would need a second set of tyres first
