Some of these idiots realy do test peoples common sense. However there are people who do actually reply and thats why there are so many of those kinds of message around. I get an incredible amount of emails from banks that I have no connection with at all, in addition to those from Outer Wonga Monga that promose me that I have been the lucky recipient of one and a half million dollars that is lodged in an account waiting my reply. Just send ALL your details mate and its yours. CANT WAIT. Bring it on. No more Locosts for me, down payment on a Veyron etc. Ha Ha.

I get the same type of ones from Natwest, Barclays, Nationwide and others, none of which I bank with. Huge scams going on all the time!

but people must do it or such scams would not exist

probably a computer program just sending out 100,000's of emails a day, even if a tiny minority actually replied with details it would be worth the effort

Unfortunatly the folk who would put their details would be so clueless they'd be the ones who would also be the easiest to ripoff or empty their bank accounts, mostly old folk who could not afford such losses
