Looking at autotrader and eBay low mileage ones go between 8 and 10k. So with 176k on
the clock probably 6k.

Do you mean it has had a cambelt failure or just that it is due a cambelt service?

I suspect 6K is rather a high price. The car is not a "desirable" wannabee motor, 2009 60K from a dealer is £7500

so I would want to pay a great deal less for the extra 115K on the clock. Maybe 5K absolute tops if all sorted and tidy??

Needs a full service and is due a cam belt change (£700 all in). Has a electrical drain on the car, battery goes flat in 3-4 days.
It belongs to my bro in law. He wants 2.5k.

The price he wants seems very good. Just a bit concerned about the electrical drain.

Cheers

2.5k sounds alright, and I'm sure you could hunt down that drain

Otherwise get one of them solar chargers to help out
