Electric paddle shift quick shift
I made the mistake of popping into DWR racing in Aylesbury to get a new drive chain from Dave and he put an idea in my head....my mid engine BEC can
be fitted with a paddle shift, get rid of the gear stick/cable...put a quickshifter and make it a clutchless up/down shift.
Ive searched the board and theres a few results, but have any of you actually had/got this sort of set up? Im looking for a rough cost on parts and
any links if possible?
Dave said it would cost around 1100 ish but my budget is locost of course
Any input from the masses?
Cheers
N1

Agreed !
The Flatshifter Max, Expert, and paddles added to our Hayabusa powered J15 made a great car even better.

My pile of bits is Locost, still expensive but not £1100. It took me about 3 weeks of watching Ebay USA to get what I wanted.
Got a used Trickshifter (Flatshifter Pro now) for £350,
And instead of the Kliktronic geet expensive jobby, I got a Pingel solenoid off a Harley Davidson breaker in the USA for £270, removed from a dyna
glide.
You may have a bit of tax to pay, but this is still well below the cost in you have in mind.
