Suns out so dug the little car out

First thing required, set of new tyres as 2 out of 4 were flat, so purchased one of TC960 BRAND NEW SEALEY MANUAL TYRE CHANGER MACHINE, welded some brackets to my two post lift to anchor it firmly and it works pretty well , although word of warning DO NOT USE if you like your rims as it scuffs the edges up.

Now rolling started up, hmmm bit noisy so have spent the last day welding up the exhaust manifold, as it's attached to the turbo I tweaked for a bit more boost much better now so off for a spin.

Jeez it's fast, pulled out, turbo cut in and both rears light up, notched it into second and the same thing happens so trundled along in the traffic slowly then turned off to a country road.

Booted it in third, goes like startled rat, although as it hits .8 bar the engine cuts so need to tweak the tune as I have an over boost setting of 10 psi as a fuel cut.

All booked in for FDMC at the weekend for the first auto solo of the year, anyone else going?

Tempted to pop over and spectate if the weather is half decent.

My car is back to being fully functional now and seems to drive fine - thanks again for your help!

You know you can reinflate tyres not just replace them right?

You do know that a turbo doesn't 'cut in' don't you?!
But we know what you mean......when it comes 'on song'!

My dad has one of those tyre gizmos on a pallet, but whenever ive wat watched him struggle to use it, it seemed more hassle than its worth for me to borrow it as ive always had mates who work at tyre places to do mine for cash, which were then balanced also.

I fancy the solo but might be busy that weekend. Should really try to defend/better my 3rd place in the solo challenge championship.

Tyres were knackered, came with a set of 7" rims, must have been 15 years old, hard as nails and needed silicon to make the rims seal....

Something's a bit up with the car, last year I remember the turbo building from 3000rpm, it now feels lack lustre until around 4500rpm then takes off. Needs to go on the rolling road again for low end tuning, it's not really an autosolo car as no grunt when you need it pulling out of slow bends but still a hoot to drive

Plan is for sprinting once I have saved the pennies for a suit, gloves bots and hat, should be fine for that.
