Ri bike carbs on to a 2 ltr Pinto jet size
Hi guys
I am fitting some R1 bike carbs onto a 2 ltr Pinto engine, stripped and cleaned them today and wondered what jet size people have ended up fitting

Did you ever get any help with this?
A common starting point is 1.6mm I think as with ZX9's and the like.

My father in law is using zx9 carbs on his pinto and I'm sure its 1.7 on the main jet although its had some work on the head.
The other issue was the needles were of different sizes, as were the trumpets (2 pairs of each), we basically cannibalized a second set to get
everything matching.

Hello
No didn't get much feedback, I drilled them out to 1.6mm and it is going to Bogg bros tomorrow to be set up.
I will let you know how I get on

It is not just a case of drilling jets.
Just doing that makes for rich cruse.
Block air correctors and start with 1.4 mains

Had a great day at Bogg bros today, Dave did a great job on setting my car up. found the jets to small, one of the carbs had a breather hole blocked
off which was a bit strange, inlet manifold drawing air in against the head.
Now it ticks over smooth and pulls really well, cannot recommend the place enough.
