First passenger!

Finally took my first passenger yesterday - my wife, of course! She just had to be the first, after all the disturbance I'd caused during the build. Been putting passenger-carrying off for some time, as my back suspension wasn't set up as I'd like. However, took her out, expecting a nervous reaction, but she liked it - so now it's time to get her a helmet for regular journeys!

Must admit that I didn't give it too much stick during the short journey - I didn't want to scare her off! She only had a pair of sunglasses on while I had a full-face helmet, so I had to be a bit considerate (if I wanted my dinner, that is...)

My missus screamed when i floored it for the first time, Squeeled like a pig.
She likes a bit of speed, but only if she is in control.
Her only concern was that she watched each stage as it went together, she saw exactly what was holding it all together and that scared her. But she enjoys going out now, We are even building her one now, based on a bmw 320i.
She is gonna kick my arse, 190bhp bmw against 110 ish bhp on the crossflow

David, i nearly fell off my chair laughing when you said your wife needs a helmet!!!!!

Kitlooney - how do you get 190bhp from an E30 320i?? They are 125bhp in stock form. Even the 325i is only 176bhp stock. id love to hear how you get on using a BMW donor. There are so many about that are cheap and well built that they make an ideal choice. Are you creating a build diary? I saw an S14 engine on ebay recently - now that would be well over 190bhp without mods.
