There are loads of free trial ones
http://www.audioutilities.com/midi-ringtone/midi-ringtone.htm
A quick google search will get you loads.
Not sure how limited in functionality they are though. If you can find one thats time liited rather than function limited you should be ok.

You won't be able to do that with any degree of reliability. In fact if the MP3 is of more than one instrument at a time or involves any sort of
'busy' recording it won't work at all. Period.
MP3 is a recording of actual music/sound, *.mid is a set of instructions to a synthesizer to play a tune. Totally different in other words.
P.S. Spot the anorak- this is my 'thing'.
P.P.S. The software link you were sent does midi to various 'sound' formats which is easy peasy. Not in the other direction however.

Zilspeed is quite correct, the success in converting mp3 to another file format is variable to say the least, widi seems to be very configurable and
has many instruments built in, you will spend rather a large amount of time messing about before getting a decent file. google widi, there is also a
http://softformusic.com/download/recognize_demo.exe readme available for conversion of a trial copy available here
