It was the best of days, it was the worst of days

... well, most annoying of days, anyway!

Went off on a 20-mile drive to find a scrappy near Woodbridge, Suffolk.

The good news is - I had a really great drive in the lovely sunny weather.

The not-so-good news is - the car started to get really hot when I got held up in a traffic queue (the fan wasn't coming on, due to a loose connector on the temp switch).

More good news - a rider on a superbike decided to play, every time I roared off I had a bike in my rear-view mirror. When I slowed down, so did he. When I accelerated, he chased after me. Huge fun! Then my speedo decided to go to sleep...

Oh - I didn't find the scrappy either... Teach me to take a better map with me...

Anyway, I tested my speedo sender and all relevant wiring, went out for ANOTHER blast around and proved that my speedo was working once more.

An odd day, all things considered... but mostly good fun!

These seven-esque cars really are hooligans' machines, aren't they!

David

I also managed to break a lever on my crash helmet as well, which was also annoying (the one for the darkened visor on a Caberg). The local bike shop will ring the distributor on Monday, to see if they can supply a plastic moulding that probably costs 1p to produce...

I've had one of those days as well David.
Went out for a gentle cruise this morning with SWMBO.
Lovely morning, gentle drive, pub lunch

went out on my own this afternoon for some fun.
Similar experience to you but....
I was playing with an Elise.

I was supprised how well I could pace him.

Got home and found that my header tank cap (VW Audi) was rubbing on the bonnet.
So I thought I would grind away a bit of the plastic cap.

Unfortunately There was not as much thickness as I thought and I ground right through it

A job for araldite rapid until I can get another one from the scrappy on Monday.
