Border Sevens Meet

Well I was on a Border Sevens meet yesterday with a lot of Caterhams and Westfields... In fact I think I may have been pretty much the only non factory car present.

Was a great day, but unfortunately got a bit burnt. I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of 'miserable caterham owning b**stards'!! Everyone was very friendly.

We visited the Jim Clark room at Duns + a special exibition at Duns library. Took in some lunch at a great pub in Auchencrow. A trip to a private collection was arranged including a 500cc cooper and lots of memorabilia and finally a ceremonial lap of the old Charterhall circuit (now very potholed). All in all very good fun indeed with blats in between venues...

The only downside of the day was when the gear lever came off in my hand about two miles from home... Why did ford decide to have a stupid plastic thread into the 4 speed box? It's only worked loose but I need to take off the tunnel to refit...

Thanks

I hate you - really, I do.

It's a shame that the Sylva isn't on the road yet. I sure could have uglied up that picture

The most rewarding aspect of any Sylva is the handling.

Damn, missed another one! Looks like some of the NE7ER's made it up too.

Will be back on the road soon, hopefully.

Mike
