Is this a locost?

This was unearthed in a barn in the farm my gf's father works at. Nobody knows where it came from. Looks to me like somebody was starting on a Locost: Am I right?

Tell him that you will take that 'pile of scrap' off his hands for a fiver.

Tell them about the bent treacle edges!

Hi One thing you will notice though is that the back end was clearly designed for a live axle type setup.

But the rear baulkhead upright tubes are not the required 1" inboard so would clash with the position of the trailing arms. And the lower under axle tubes are also not the required distance inboard. (sorry but not familiar with the book tube codes)

Otherwise it is a book chassis. Or verry close to without measuring.

cheers matt

Is that primer...or a nice shade of "rust"?

Thought so. Cheers all.

The lovely red color is indeed rust - it's been sitting in a barn for god-knows how many years. . .

Pity it wasn't discovered before the new book came out, really
