Definitely going to hell for this!
I've just had an excellent Petrolheads weekend! Went to Cadwell Park for the HSCC meeting there on Sunday. http://www.hscc.org.uk/
Saturday, a 6 hour, 210 mile blat from Newcastle to Cadwell. Some excellent roads (thanks to Coose for introducing us to the Yorkshire TT ).
Sunday, watched qualifiying and the racing at Cadwell, followed by another 210 mile blat back home!
I love Cadwell and I love the HSCC, where else can you see a Elan racing a 911, racing a Europa, with a few more exotics thrown in?
Or a 5 litre V8 Mustang behind a Ford Anglia and a Hillman Imp!
Real reason for going was to support my friend, Andy in his Series 2 Lotus 7, with a 1500 pre-crossflow!
I also fell in love! With a JCB! I think its a Chevron B8. It's either a replica of, or the original car entered into the LeMans 24 hours by
JCB back in the 60's!
Also got a quick spotted for this Caterham owner, who I guess was there for the Lotus 7 organised trackday at Cadwell today. No trailer queen here,
and he brought slicks! I guess no 4 was on the passenger seat!
All that petrol wasted! Plus we only ate junk food all weekend, and we drank beer! Proper boys weekend away!
Cheers
Mike

I don't know about you but that’s my idea of heaven and if it turns out to be otherwise I think I will be putting in my application to move down
stairs...
Fame is when your old car is plastered all over the internet

Top weekend - like it
I went down to Castle Coombe on the bank holiday for the same event. Walking around the paddock was like being on the set of an automotive porn movie
Watching the big old yank cars (Plymouths etc) cracked me up. It was like watching a mutli lap drift competition

Looks like a ratchet strap through the middle of the rims. Hopefully that goes all the way to the rollbar and the bugee cords are just for stability!

Bungee and red thing
Looks like there is a ractchet strap through the wheels as well.
The red thing looks like it is the back end of a 60's single seater. Not sure what though?

Red thing
Done a bit of digging. The red car is a Lotus 20
