Anyone know the best way to shorten it?

Allot of people use cycle brake cables ( heavy duty) as they have the correct end to slot into the pully thing on the carb.

If you want something a little more heavy duty, Heine Gerricke sell universal brake and clutch cables for about 3 quid each.

i used a teflon teflon lined pushbike gear cable for my blade carbs.

not put a huge amount of miles on it thus far, but it seems to be working admirably.

really smooth pedal and about £3 off ebay
