New unit of enjoyment - Smiles Per Gallon (SPG)
Well...I took the oppotunity to take the Indy out for a lunchtime spin today. It had rained in the morning, but stopped around midday so I decided to
go for it.
The sky cleared, the sun came out and the air was cool and crisp. The roads were still bery damp
I had 45 mins of pure fun. Not hooning about, but pushing just enough to slide gently off the round abouts and in and out of junctions - driving
heaven
IMHO you just can't beat the buzz of driving a car you've built and having that much fun.
Hoping to get the same again tomorrow

It shouldn't be this much fun - Personally I like the BK (Big Kid) gauge - Goes from 70 down to 2 as you press the loud pedal!
If you pay peanuts...
Mentale, yar? Yar, mentale!
Drive it like you stole it!

Hi Nick, it's funny you should post this now - I went out in mine at around 3 oClock ish and for the first time in quite a long time decided to
push the car - I was out for around 30mins giving a load of the really twisty back roads round the back of Oulton Park some serious grief and I
enjoyed every second of it!
It's been quite a while that I've given the car beans on my own (like you I wasn't pushing it/risking anything - just enough to get
tail happy round a few open bends!)...

It must be the weather- I finally decided to have some tail-happy action (strictly in the car sense ) at the weekend. Gorgeous open sweeping curve
round the top of Hampstead Heath. Visabilities great so I can see if anything's coming in the opposite direction.
Something coming = keep it sensible but enjoy the G's...
Nothing coming = slipsliding away....

mpg v gpm
miles per gallon and grins per mile.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
