Just got back in after a brilliant day out! About 7 cars left Newcastle this morning, met up with a few more at Corbridge. Then some more in Stanhope, more in Middleton. Fuel in Alston, lunch at Hartside Cafe, over towards Penrith, up to Brampton, back to Alston for more fuel, then up to Allenheads, then down to Hexham, then home!

I recon about 180 / 200 miles of brilliant roads. Just great fun.

Unfortuantely OiOi's engine expired early on, and we lost a few people along the way. But all in all a great day.

Chuffed that I managed 200 high speed miles without breaking down too!
Mike

I bet it was a fantastic day out. Ive saved a copy of the road book - hope to do part of it as some point. Not done hartside yet but if its as good as the run from Middleton to Alston then it will be fantastic. Well done on getting the gremlins sorted Mike.

On way to Sheffield i picked Mookaloid up in Masham. Rather than take the A1 i drove Staindrop - Winston - Gilling West - Richmond - Leyburn - Masham. Some fantastic roads. Then from Masham cut across country to Harrogate, then Wetherby and onto A1. Probs done 250 miles as well.

And wasnt the weather good for November?
