oh hum had four of these things, I keep thinking of getting another SII and running it stripped down like last time ie leaving the doors and windscreen off

it was fun to drive but never ending problems with the running gear

Im pleased to report the gear selection is a little tighter on my car. i wonder how many passengers in LR's have had their knee caps taken off? Sitting in centre seat can be unpleasant.

Its good to see that even after all these years there isnt really a good successor to the LR.

I just called out the gears I wanted and got them to do some work for a change

LR have a lot in common with locosts in that they are just one big mechano set.

I really cant see the hummer being a good replacement.

Farmers up and down the country tried the Jap alternatives as they were cheaper and offered comfort levels, but once they realised they couldnt carry as much, broke down more when abused and more expensive to repair they are returning in ther droves. MOD will follow suit.

Iam convinced - if you need off road capability NOTHING compares to a LR. My mate re chassis them as a business, he i snever out of work. It amazes me how people will spend good money on a 20 year old rotten vehicle to secure another 20 years service.
