R1 Mounting points

does anyone know if the 03 mounting points for an r1 are the same as say a 99 engine?

Cheers

Yes they are...Is your engine a 5PW?

4XV,5JJ & 5PW are the same as the later engines.

Not sure about the 2007 engine though

I don't think ALL the 5PW mounting points are the same as earlier engines, but some cradles don't use the one thats changed (on the side of the head at the alternator end I believe)

The mounts on the later engines (2004 on) are different! Trust me, I have the receipts to prove it!

5JJ engine nearside

5VY nearside mounts

5PW mounting points

My understanding was that the 5PW was different to the carb engines.

My chassis actually had to go back to MNR to be modified because they had not realised that the 5PW was different.

I also heard that some of the later engines reverted to the original carb mounting points but I have no evidence of this

I was told the earlier engines could be converted to Injection with very little Mods
