Fibreglass Tunnel Cover
Guys, whats the best way to secure the tunnel cover? Couple of M5 bolts at the bottom or Tigerseal it in? Drop it in and leave it??
Just wondering what to do in case SVA man wants to see under it

I am thinking of trying the self adhesive Velcro strips you can buy to fix my carbon panels in place.

SVA man can't ask you to remove permanently fixed panels! He will look at the tunnel from underneath on the ramp.

Tunnel isnt open, he can only look in from the diff end. Floor is one flat ali panel.
Will taking along pictures of under the cover help Mr. SVA??

I just fixed it with some nice self tappers.
about 3 along the bottom and 4 along where its goes up towards the front.
just means i can remove it if needed

He'll just have to get his torch out then to check the fuel / brake lines and loom then. As mentioned he cant ask you to remove your centre
tunnel cover. I'm sure he will see enough clips securing the pipes, and loom not cable tied to the fuel line to satisfy him

My car went through the SVA okay with a completely secured tunnel. SVA man just looked down the tunnel with a torch

hi steve
i put one screw either side of the bottom edge at the front ( number plate screws with the plastic cover ), the rear of the tunnel cover slides down
the side of the inner seatbelt mounts holding it in place

I took pics. He liked that. Make panel removeable pre-sva. My tester said he can fail a car if he cant test certain aspects of it.
