Lydden Hill Track Day - 24th May

My wife has bought a first track day at Lydden Hill on the 24th May for my forth-coming brithday

Its my first track day so fingers crossed it's nice and sunny and I'm not too out of my depth.

Anyone else going that day?

Yup, I'm booked in for that one, it'll be my first ever trackday, so you won't be the only beginner there....

Geoff.

Fantastic I'll be in the green Luego Velocity (christened the "Frog" by the girls at work).

Looking forward to meeting you there - what are you driving?

.....a silver and yellow book Locost, 1.8 k series power. Complete with windscreen, (pron. airbrake...) which might end up being removed towards the end of the day, if we haven't otherwise broken it by then.

I'll be bringing a couple of pals along, hoping to get them both a drive, have to see how that works out. See you there..!

Windscreen?

As you said, it might be worth removing that as there's the possibility for a lot of gravel to get onto the track at the bottom of the hill.

You'll love Lydden, it's a great track!

Check Youtube for some footage to learn the track first, not that it's particularly difficult, but expensive if you get it wrong.

Don't like the sound of "expensive if you get it wrong"........

Cheers for the windscreen advice, any catering facilities there BTW?

Expensive doesn't sound good to me either.

I wasn't going to bother with track day insurance - best quote I got was £94 with £750 excess.
