Whoopee!

After all the faffing about with my bike carbs, tonight I was finally able to go out for a hoon around the Suffolk lanes...

Went out for an hour and a quarter, trundling round the highways and by-ways. Great fun.

Oh yes - MY, that car accelerates well now the carbs are sorted - squeaked my tyres changing up into third!

What a happy camper am I...

I was amazed how well my bike carbs work - I was expecting a lot more hassle getting them to run properly on a car.

Yes - I haven't got any official figures (yet) but now there's clearly good power delivery right through the revs range, making the engine far more useable.

I may have to do something about the induction noise though - it's louder than my exhaust!
