BANKS - thieving robbing gits *rant warning*
Hi All,
need a rant,
just came home to a letter from the bank saying.
"we have reviewed your overdraft facility and deemed it acceptable, the arangement fee is £25"
Now here's the rant.
I have had this account for 7 years with the same overdraft, and never had it reviewed or n arrangement fee. Why the heck have they decided to chrge
me one?
I havre no debts, I owe no one any money, and I bank over 70K in that account a year.
Where the heck does a bank get off doing me over and not these gits that live on credit
advise would be nicem I suspect a account closure may be occuring
Rant over
.

I'm sure a quick phone call to them with the threat of closing your account will soon have them backtracking on that arrangement fee!!

Been through that kind of crap before.
Query the charge with the manager.
Make sure he knows that you'll move accounts if it isn't waived, and you'll be sending a letter to his boss telling him why
you've moved. Be polite.
Be prepared to follow through.

Wow! What a con!!
I'd point out that you didn't ask them to review your overdraught facility and that you'll move your money out of account unless
they give you an instant refund.
alternatively send them a letter in reply stating
"thank you for reviewing my overdraught facility (without me requesting it) and deciding to keep it exactly the same as it has always been. My
acceptance fee is £25. Please pay immediately to avoid me calling in the ballifs".
I think they'll get the point

But then it only evens out. An acceptence fee of £50 is more like it

The problem is that all banks annoy us at some time. £25 charge for an unasked for and unnecessary assesment is an insult. The charging system seems
random. Plenty of other banks are out there looking for £70k pa account holders. Sadly I would find it difficult to recomend one!

They can't take money off the people who don't have any, come on
I can't see why you have an overdraft facility on the account if you put that much money through it, cancel it when they have refunded you the
charge.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Sounds fair, just don't see why i'm punished for working hard and scumbags with massive debts aren't

apparently you can't take it with you, and the banks are making sure of it.

nice rant but could have done with a few more angry words and some
.... but think about it. The reason they are charging you is because you have money, what would be the point asking for money from someone who has
none?

You tried the Co-Op? I'm moving all my accounts over from Barclays over the coming ones, business and personal..... no business banking fees at
all, forever (FSB member).
