It is absolutely staggering the lengths this bloke goes to. Well worth reading right to the end - it just gets worse and worse!

He gets 'very upset' by there being some green pen marks on the body under the carpet.

WTF is he going to do in it, open heart surgery....

Couldn't help thinking of the polish a turd saying all throughout reading that, it might be a limited edition, but in the end its just a production car.

wow, just found and read the post, absolutely insane attention to detail, verging on neurotic. some of it a can appreciate but cleaning your car every 3 days! i look after my car most probably better than the everage person, as do most people on this site. but even when i look at the crude work done on my dash and go 'that looks crap' when i go out for a drive i dont spend much time looking at it!

fair play to the bloke for putting that much effort in, be a real shame when its keyed in the car park.

Wow im amazed by how clean they are when using the polishing machine!! when i get the polisher out the compund goes all over me and anything within a few metres!! They must really have some patients.
good results though.

flak monkey - 17/9/09 at 06:39 PM

I thought I was picky over my car cleaning.

Fair enough if it was a concours car, but its not...hardly a great vehicle either!

Having said that mine hasnt been washed in a fortnight. Though its due a good polish up again

blakep82 - 17/9/09 at 06:40 PM

i bet he's fun down the pub

JoelP - 17/9/09 at 08:22 PM

i too feel suicidal after reading that It dawned on me he is ill.

Im only a third through it as well. The tooth brush and cotton buds on the door hinges did it for me.

Ive never washed my van

I'm not sure why anyone would take a brand-new car and detail it. I can appreciate the difference it does on modified & show cars, though.

But measuring the paint thickness on a production car...? I'd much rather save the cash and buy something rarer to detail. A nice old 300SL maybe. Or a 70s 911. Or a 50s Chevy.
