Go to the real stuff, plumbed in.

You can deploy it and run for your life!!

I've run 2 nozzles to the engine (opposite sides), one for the driver, one for the fuel tank.

I spent a lot of time ummm'ing and ahhh'ing over how much fire protection i wanted (cost/weight/effectiveness/etc) and ended up with a 2l hand held foam jobbie.

Places like merlin will sell them but i got mine locally which cost about £20 delivered.

add doesn't say anything about use in an electrical fire? which i guess would be the most common in a kitcar?

don't think the voltage and current is high enough in a car to worry about it. for example, you wouldn't want to use a water extinguisher on a live 240v kettle fire (first thing i thought of lol) but would be fine for any car electrics

My thoughts exactly.
- Plus, the best tool for an elec fire is a battery isolate switch.
- It would take a lot of water/foam to keep a shorted wire cool until the battery went flat.
