Bleeding brakes

Have bled brakes over and over again still got spongy peddle, what else can i do. have been using a pressure bleeder.

Pressurise the system overnight by wedging the pedal down. If you have a tiny leak, you'll soon find it. Should help get the last of the bubbles out too.

when you bleed the brakes you shouldnt push the pedal all the way to the floor.

I f you do you can flip the seals in the master cylinder...

used to be a real problems on vauxhall's

depending on the master cylinder some time's you can remove the clip from the rear and take out the rod and flip it back..

If you have flexi hoses rather than braided clamp all 4 hoses if its still soft is m/cylinder...

if it cures it rmove one at a time and it will tell you where the problem is..

sometimes if you try and bleed tomuch you just make very small bubbles that you cant get out as said leave it over night let it all settle make sure you dont pump the pedel to fast take you time

I could never get mine bled with the ezibleed kit and ended up doing it the old fashioned way by getting the missus to pump the pedal while I went round and done each caliper in turn. It was great after that.

Aso check that you don't have a sticky/misaligned caliper that is deflecting. Feels the same as trapped air.

Have your pads bedded in?

As above
But first check the bleed nipples are at the top of the calipers above the hose inlet --- on rears particularly you may have to unbolt the caliper and swivel it round to get the nipple at the highest point when you bleed it.

Also check the handbrake cable has enough slack for the self adjuster to work.

For an ezzibleed or other pressure bleeder to work properly the pedal should be give a couple of pumps to prime the master cylinder before pressure bleeding.
With some types of master cylinder only pressure bleed will work.

I had the same problem but my drums are upside down, in the end after 10L of brake fluid later, we found the problem (Mookaloid) in the rear wheel cylinders, what we had to do was get a couple of large nylocs and put them on each end of the cylinder and put some mole grips over them to press the cylinder pistons togther but heres the bit we found by accident, we then had the slide them either up or downwards whilst using the eazi bleed and have that nipple open, when we pushed it up or down loads of bubbles came out.. been great ever since.

if its an MK with rear discs you have to swivel the caliper when beeding as air gets trapped in the top
