Microphone position?
scutter - 12/9/11 at 12:52 PM

Folks, All those with a sperate mic on the on-board cameras, where have you positioned your Microphones?

Also how is it mounted? mines tiewrapped to a sticky base and whilst there isn't too much wind noise, the mic picks up all the vibrations and sounds of the car, also have you shielded it in any way?

Cheers Dan.

Can you lower the sensitivity of the mic? On my Gopro the mic picks up all the vibration from the car on the high setting, but if turned to low it just gets the engine [albeit fairly quietly].

Try the sponge - works for me, I have 2 sponges over mine, and work in 70mph wind without too much noise.
