ok i'm going to drive to stoneliegh in the indy, it will of only had its number plats a few days, so which nuts should i be checking just incase
they work loose?
i guessing the ones that hold the mushrooms in are suspects and the bottom ball joint but what else falls off?

why not double up the nuts to lock them?
few are likely to fall off, take it for a big drive and then check. If it was me I'd have done at least 1000 miles on the first day it was on the
road (based on the past)
just really tighten up the wheel nuts.

If you have used nuts and bolts and penny washers for the rear arches , check them, they cant fall off if you have used nylocs but they settle and go
a bit limp, rather like the previous picture
Also the ones that hold the front calipers to the uprights.
Just do a front to rear spanner check every now and then.

Rear top wishbone nuts are prone to working loose,even though they have a locking nut,and drive shaft bolts on the disc brake type rear axle.
During my build I painted a stripe of anti-tamper paint over the suspension nuts and any others that are tightened with a torque wrench. That way you
can see at a glance if anything has loosened.
It only takes a few minutes to do the whole car and can save you loads of time if anything drops off
The important non-nylocked ones!!!
Propshaft bolts
Driveshaft bolts (for Lobro type driveshafts)
The important nylocked ones (ie only one mission critical nut/ bolt)
Upper and lower swivel / ball joints
Drive-rod ends
The quite important ones (two bolts holding each bit in place)
Wishbones (upper and lower)
So far I've had 5 driveshaft bolts come undone and 1 ball joint nut come undone....
Caliper bolts.
Happened to notice my timing pulley bolt 'looked funny' the other day.... turns out it was loose to the point I could undo by finger tip.
So started checking the others... The timing belt tensioner bolt was getting loose and the tensioner had slipped.... to the point where turning the
head bolt moved the head and belt.... but the crank stayed still!
If Ihadn't noticed I'd have written the engine off shortly!
