Years ago in the stock cars I had a blowout on the outside front as i entered the corner and kept the throttle nailed,it just made the crash hurt

Interesting fact if you read the writing on the sidewall they are all spelled "tires"

I now just put in full lock in the direction of the spin and let the stupid thing spin to a stop or catch it when it's pointing the right direction (did a beautiful 360 in the cinquecento once ) as I've found that the car is far more likely to stay on the road than when trying to fight it. Indead it was just the same with the Karts.

Only ever had one in 38 years and it was on the rear, not something I think about really. I would just want to stop as soon as possible, from what I remember it was like driving a jelly.
I had a blowout on the NSF of a Jag XJS years ago doing between 130 - 140 mph, the flailing steel from the tyre ripped half the front wing off!!! I realise now I should have accelerated thro' this & overtaken a few more people with brown pants b4 stopping

What garbage!!!!
Any sudden changes just as the tyre deflates is likely to cause problems. Hitting the brakes is obviously not the right answer but accelerating is not
much better. The correct response is to progressively slow the vehicle without any sudden control changes as they will upset the already disturbed
balance of the vehicle.
Unless of course you want to spin it to stop. It still hurts but you don't see it coming
I drive a Xantia and I'm lead to believe that a flat tyre shouldn't be a problem
