Wheel spacers.. recommended?
LoMoss - 23/5/07 at 10:39 PM

I have acquired a set of Ford 15" 6J with 195 50 alloy wheels. the offset is approx 40mm and therfore need wheel spacers. Been looking at HnR spacers. Is this a good thing to do to a locost. Or can somebody recommend a source of 15" multi spoke alloys that would fit.

Opinions appreciated.

What offset do you need?

I've got a pair of 1" spacers you can have for a £10 I'll have a look and see if I've got long studs as well.

I'm in Kirkcaldy today/tonight but I'm going offshore tomorrow.

If you're going to use spacers the one-piece type with studs already mounted are much safer.

Require a pair of H & R DRM 70mm wheel spacers. gives 35mm per side and a clearance of 8mm. Is this too close for comfort?

If you have to uses spacers make sure they are the hubcentric variety or you will have all sorts of wobbly problems.

i plan on using hubcentric wheel spacers approx 55mm, they are expensive but i dont fancy useing those dodgy cast ones. and the wheel will sit properly on the alloy spacer.
