After spending this year developing my supercharged 4AGE I finally got round to updating the suspension. I've fitted Gaz Gold damper/springs as
RAW use them on their demo car with posative feedback.
Anyway luckily there's a guy local to me who prepares Radical's and so has the necessary flat area and scales. Spent the morning adjusting
then checking, then re-adjusting and checking again etc! Actually the car wasn't too far off on alignment but the corner weights were way off due
to the new engine and gubbins.
Final setup
FL: 162.5 49/51 F/R split
FR: 162.5
RL: 165
RR: 175
Total 665 kg including driver at 90kg
So that makes my car 575kg (25 litres of fuel) which unfortunately is about 40kg heavier than when I built it for SVA! 5kg more fuel than when I first
measured it but the rest comes from the below....
Boost gauge
Oil pressure gauge
Thicker harness from 2" to 3"
Several bonnet and engine vents
Radiator alli cowling
Cold air filter box and Samco hoses
Rotrex SC (5 kg)
Rotex 8mm steel brackets and alternator relocation bracket
Rotrex oil reservoir and pipes
Intercooler, brackets and samco hoses
Cast alli inlet plenum
Accusump and pipes
Double drive crank pulley
Non-aqueous coolant (more dense than water/ethanol)!
Weight reduction...
Sierra to Wilwood brake calipers
The weight distribution is now better than before and the extra 100BHP does offset the weight somewhat! The car handles superbly now and just shows up
how bad it was before. I'll try to do at least one more track day this year but that requires a bigger silencer which is yet more weight!
so you have gained a lot on power/weight ratio.... and its good news for me as ame too building a 4age 20v locost, with the NA setup i can keep it below 550 kg.. great
Hi Bimleuk.
Nice spec though ! Would like to cornerweigh my car too sometime but have to find somebody with scales I can use here in Limburg.
Can I find the rotrex setup somewhere here ? Like to know more about it.
My car is 520 kg ( dry ) but after fitting airbox etc I think it is getting heavier too
but ! I lost 6 kg so driver is know around 84kg
regards
Jos
Hey all,
I have weighed 498kilograms on my live axle 20v4age NA, on toyota T50 box.
Old scool striker so a lot less alloy pannaling the the RAW ones also no heater system.
Jos the Rotrex set-up is not availeble but can be build to spec if you want to, is awfully expensive compared to some other set, very good quality
stuff though
the only retail point close to holland for rotrex head units is TTS UK, mr Spekenbrink of rotrex holland did not find a suiteble dutch dealership,
might be different now because that intel is a few months old allready.

OMEX have become distributers too recently which is great for Striker owners as they currently have two for kit development. One BEC and one CEC with
a 4AGE 20V.
They've already produced all the bracketry and a plenum for the BEC. Which I will probably switch too as its nicely CNC'd and weighs less
than my 8mm steel, being 10mm alluminium. The initial kit will use the C30-74 which lacks some bottom end grunt compared to mine but does allow full
use of the rev range to 8500RPM.
As I'm still using Sierra running gear all round I do have some scope for weight loss. There's the front ally suspension kit and now rear
ally bearing carriers to add to my Christmas list! Plus I can order lighter GRP body parts and I could save a few more kilos on some different
wheels.

Oh and I finally got my longer 22" x 6" silencer which weighs another 3kg up on the old one. Another victory for the noise/fun police!
