R1 clock position pics, opinions please...

Just got round to mounting my r1 clocks, decided i wanted them behind the wheel (as opposed to central on the dash) as they will be more visible/easier to glance at while driving and the shift light will be pointing straight at the driver..
So, i made a bracket up to mount the clocks on the steering column...

Do these look ok? i couldn't recess them into the dash behind the wheel as they are too big.
Also as they are behind the wheel i assume they'll be sva ok? even the sharp edges behind the mounting bracket..?

I got to say that is exacly what i wanted to do but went down quick an easy route of going in the middle as i didnt have the materials and didnt want to lengthen the clock wiring. As you say its in the exempt area so should be ok but u trim and nut cover everything as well

Looks great!
I intend to do something similar with mine.

cheers!

I'm thinking about making a bit of a shroud to cover the gap inbetween the rear of the clocks and dash, and also extend slightly above the front of the clocks to stop sun glare...
